8801/8800 Quadband!!!!!

Hey everyone,
Here in Canada, a company by the name of Easycell is claiming that they have quad band 8801s in stock. Check this link: http://www.easycell.ca/ProductInfo.a...ductid=NOKI024 Ive called and asked them about whether its a software mod, or a hardware one.... but they claim that it is a 'trade secret' and will not inform me about how it is done. They HAVE told me that they have not touched any hardware on the phone as it still has warranty stickers in place, but have also said that doing a firmware upgrade in the future will not remove the quad-band feature. How can this be possible?? Has anyone heard of any way to do what they are claiming? or is it total BS? i dont feel comfortable paying over $1000 for a phone and not knowing whats been done to it. Any info would be greatly appreciated....

I don't think it's true bro. I know you can change filters on them to swap bands but I have never heard of quad band 8801. Just can't see this being true so I wouldn't pick it up unless someone else can shed some light on this.
