Nokia 6310 PPM

Hello everybody !

I've got a Nokia 6310, and I don't really understand if I'll need to find also the PPM (language pack) file, in the same version as the MCU patched file. Can it work without this file, only with the MCU file ?

Thanks !

@Cosconor
You need matching MCU and PPM files. If you already have on the phone the same version with that of the patched file then it's ok and you need to flash only the MCU. If the version is different you need to find a matching PPM for the patch MCU.

Yess ! Thanks very much !

My 6310 is now with version 5.10, and the patched MCU file you give there is also in version 5.10, so it should be OK !

I brought today my 6310 to a service point, with a CD where I've put the flash, and they should install it this week-end, so I'll take my 6310 back monday. I'll tell you then if it's OK.

How big is the MCU you downloaded? If it is around 64k and your phone is v5.10, then you don't need anything other than the MCU. If, however, the MCU file is in Megs, then you'll need matching PPM anyway, because normally MCU flashing erases the PPM area.

Oh no ! The patched MCU you give there has 5,7 Mb ! So ? I'll need to have the PPM file too ?
But where can I find it ? I've searched it for hours on the forum and on the Net, and I didn't found the correct version (5.10, like the patched MCU ; 5.10 is the last firmware version for Nokia 6310).

Maybe someone have this PPM file, and can send it to me by mail : [email protected]

Hi all, i have a 6230i flashed with netmonitor enabled and it works perfectly, thanks to all involved.
I have one small annoying problem that is when you make a call the graphics box of the call info hide the net monitor screen and i can not see the data. does anybody know how to disable this. In older models this dissapears after a few seconds.
Thanks in advance.
