Member: 11099 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4 | Yes what Monty said works. I did a full factory reset using UFS and the menu structure changed. You get the option to use the phone on 3G or 2g. I select 2G and phone is now 100% working correctly. |

Member: 4611 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 68 | Cant really get any simpler really. From what the above posters are saying, you will need a hardware box, be it a griffin, ufs, or other. In the software that comes with the boxes there is one button that says "reset factory settings", and another one that says "unlock". You simply select those buttons in that order. Hope this helps. |

Member: 30157 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | the band setting has been hidden by 3 on their phones so you can't use it, this is what we've been talking about. and the reset on the phones is a software reset, not a hardware reset. Last edited by pobolius; 03-11-2004 at 22:10. |

Member: 30157 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Problem with these phones lie in the fact that all the other networks bar o2 have switched on their 3g network service, but only for trial purposes, however because the 7600 detects a 3g signal from these providers it tries to log on to it, but normal 2g sims are barred from the service meaning it has no signal. the only hope for these phones without the menu being unlocked is to get into an area without a 3g service. or get them to a country without 3g |
