Member: 28386 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | If it's for a carkit...beware  the pinout is: xmic, sgnd, xear, Mbus, Rx, Tx, Gnd. (left to right). The pinout may be the same as on other phones, but the rules for detecting a carkit (phones goes into handsfree mode) is different. The 2nd and 3rd generation phones (51xx, 61xx and 62xx) are just swaping to handfree mode if xear is pulled low with a resistor. the 6310 senses a high to low on the xear, and then reads the ID of the connected device (carkit) to identify itself on the MBUS! That's why the 6310 does not fit on all carkits (mercedes, THB and others) but only on the Nokia CARK-91!! |

Member: 30326 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | nokia 6310 and CARK-91 Do anyone know the communication protocol between the nokia 6310 and the original carkit CARK-91? I tried to listen on the MBUS, with a nokia 6310i and my THB carkit. It seems that when the carkit identifies himself on the MBUS, the phone doesn`t answer anymore. I tried it with a 6110 and it answers. Can someone do the same thing with the original carkit and a 6310, and post the results on the forum? The settings are 9600 bauds, 1start, 8data, odd parity, 1stop bit. I listened the communication with a terminal program, directly in hex. Thanks, Zoli |

Member: 32163 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | 6250 Is any of this relavent to the 6250? The connector looks the same on the bottom but are they? I bought the CARK-111 upgrade kit for the CARK-91 for the 6250 I want to use my cradle to connect a handsfree and charger. It has a 15 pin modular connector (oversized RJ45). Where can I buy the female version of this and what are the pinouts? Thanks |
