nokia 6230 code error.....unlocked?????

HI guys, i used crux 2.31 to unlock a nokia 6230. I selected the operator to o2 and the country to united kingdom, the program automatically selected the asic 6 option. Now when I got the codes I typed in the 7 code. When I typed in the code I received "Code Error" message. I then tried code 1 and code 7 again. All codes gave "Code error" message. But when I used a different network sim (T-Mobile) it works fine and the phone has reception. Does this mean the phone is now unlocked even though the phone said "Code error" and not "restriction off".

Thanks

My guess is that the phone was never locked to any network ;)

yes, that's the difference between dct-3 and dct-4

if you calc the code with 00101 instead of 23410 you will get "phone was not restricted" because 00101 is the configuration key for phones which come unlocked out of factory

Oh yeah.. to the fella who wanted his 6320 done, use code 1 for the models, and code 1 for 6600, 7610, and 7600... I'm in uk and thats what works for me on them models

If the 6230 was networked locked to O2, what would come on the screen if I entered the T-Mobile sim card? Would I still get reception?

Thanks to everyone who replied.
