Nokia 7210: Questions about reseting security code

I have seen a lot of topics regarding this subject, and I haven't found an specific solution, also I am a newbie and I would like to know a bit more regarding this problem.

I have a nokia 7210 but I have lost the security code (12345 doesn't work), I have seen that is possible to reset it flashing the phone. But how can I do that?. Is possible to damage the phone doing this?, can I convert it into a brick?. Is possible to do it via infrared port? or do I need a special cable to do that?; if yes, what kind of cable?.

I will appreciate all of your replies.

Thank you in advance.

You need Fbus Maestro and a Fbus serial cable.

It is not possible to do it via infrared port !

Normally you can not damage the phone by reset the SC.

Thank you Flo4444 for your answer.

The software for doing this is free?. Or do I have to buy it?.

Does it worth it to buy the cable?, besides to reset the SC. I mean, can I transfer more things than the IR aloud me to do?.

Thanks.

Ok I have downloaded the sofware [http://home.arcor.de/dct4flonokia/Unlock%20&%20SC/] (thank to Flo4444, again), I'm going to buy the Fbus cable [http://www.fonefunshop.co.uk/datacables/nokia.htm].

Is there a difference between reseting the SC and flashing the phone, I mean in the process, or do I need to flash the phone to acomplish the reset of the SC?

Thank you all.

Yes, there is a difference between reseting and flashing !

Reseting means, you reset only the Security Code and flashing means you update the complete software !
