I got one 1600 with "Test mode" on display and solution was one varistor, connected to BSI line of the battery connector. Just remove varistor and all will be OK.

Varistor is connected to the middle pin of battery connector, and is there is only another capacitor oposite to the varistor. You may remove both parts. Before remove any part is best to measure resistance to ground from BSI line (middle pin of battery) if resistance is more than 100 kOhms is not necesery to remove them and you have to look for another solution. In my case this resistance whas 6kOhms and phone goes to Test Mode, that its all.
