6300 Black Screen - GSM-Forum

My Nokia 6300 has a working battery and the phone is on but the LCD screen is completely black. Can anyone please help?

I've seen some similar forums for the Samsung U600 that speak of "reflowing" or reheating an "ic". Is there some similar solution for this problem? Can someone please include a diagram and explain to an electronics newb who only just knows what a soldering iron is what to do?

hello there,
for nokia phones with blank lcds/display.. problems are actually from here
1. Flex strip (if it is a slide or flip phone )
2. LCD (liquid crystal display)
3. Display ic and connectors
4. Phone CPU.
these parts or compartments are considered for such fault in nokia phones

this is wat u have to do first check if phone can make and receive calls, if it can, do a software upgrade that is flash fone with latest flash version,check fone if not work try a new and tested Lcd.. if nt work fault is majorly from Display ic.
Try changing display ic or make jumpper on display ic... phone will work Good.
Tested by me many times and works very well..Good luck
