diode should shows continuity up to 500 ohm........

how can u said my solution is useless? do u know it is tested solution, in many cases power supply got short of headphone sound ic in this kind of problem my solution 100% working..............

its depend on fault in some phones we need to make jumper as I shown in some phones fault due to headphone jack sometimes need to change headphone ic......it is all depend on fault
