im interested in changing 8390 to 8310 too.
i found on forum picture for changing 3590 to 3510i , and link (which is not working) for changing 6590 to 6510.
8310 and 6510 is same so i think solution for changing 6590 to 6510 works also on 8390.
i compare 8310 a 8390 boards and the differences are in PA, AS, FDK (VCO)
does solution for 3590 works also on 8390 ?
so if i change VCO and 3 filters and flash it with 8310 sw phone will work on 900/1800 ?

vco from 8210 or 8850 is bigger , cant fit it there .

rebuild done .
phone is now 8310 and has network. can make calls .
not sure it it is 900 or 1800 or both but working for now.

what about 8290 to 8210 is it possible ? i have here new board for 8290 .

for me it doesnt work maybe bad vco
