3210 does not charge - GSM-Forum

I've got a 3210 that does not charge but when charger is plugged in the charging block gets very hot, I found out that the capacitor C100 (underneath CHAPS) is ground on both sides, can someone please tell me how to fix this?

try to remove L100, and check still short ?
it might becasue R103, C114, C163, C108 anf Chaps

hi Willy

I remove L100, no more short to ground but phone still won't charge and one of the connecting pad on the board (that is where the charging block connects to) is short to ground and its not suppose to be, what could 'cos that, I removed all the caps, resistors on the top side of the board of the charging board area but there is still short to ground what could be the problem please help.

did you try lifting CHAPS and looking for shortcircuit without CHAPS..Also try to charge the phone without it.have a try..__jero__
