let me tell you what happend to this phone before it came to me:
this guy lost his phone and some lady found it ....he called the phone nr and she gave it back ...with the LCD broken

when i opened the phone the PA was broken too(i don`t know how he managed to call her???) i changed both the LCD and the PA
i must say that the PA type had plastic cover and i put 08109(metal type)PA
could this have anything to do with it ?
lie to me and tell me it`s not MAD problem after i told you this

Hey
If you change between the Hitachi & Phillips PA's you need to insert / remove/ change a resistor! I cant remember off-hand which one it is, but look in previous posts

You can rule out the PA by running netmonitor & checking the phone power consumption test while making a call. I have a benchtop power supply with a built in ammeter which i use to check the phones power consumption too.

I had this problem once , and i did everything!! changed, PA, CCONT, COBBA, HAGAR, CHAPS, everything!!! still did not work. I suspect crack in PCB or CPU problem.

OK, activate netmonitor using Logomanager or similar program. Go to test number 23. In the bottom right hand corner there is a number, the one above it is the phones power consumption. Normally on a 3310 with lights off, not making a call it is around 9. Lights on around 140, making a call, it will vary. By looking at this when you make a call, you can rule out excessive power consumption by the PA
