Member: | Yesterday. And, that phone was in many repair shops, but none of them didn't repair that phone. So, it's logical, those caps are power reservoirs, like on remote control units - if you have bad electrolitic cap in it, it will discharge battery very fast. So, it is good idea. This "Elco" thing is useful when you got "!" on Siemens phones, also if you have no network at all. I've replaced many of them in CMS35 phones, and in Nokia 33XX . . . |

Thats right, but when you run the netmonitor power consumption test and its within limits and it still cuts out, your left scratching your head.... legija. your saying to remove those caps completely?? hmmm, i dont see the logic in that, if they wern't needed, why would nokia put them in the first place?? Or are you just been sarcastic??? |

Member: 8866 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 50 | give it up guys ...i solved that phone a long time ago ... it was ccont fault...(i got mad so i started to change all bga`s ) anyway legija ...those two capacitors that you are talking about, are nothing but an innsurance , they are not truly important ... the phone can work very well with or without them... indeed nokia wouldn`t put them just because they fit there the only problem would be when they were shortcutted |

Member: 10854 Status: Offline Sonork: 1578988 Thanks Meter: 3 | legija is right !!!! Learn more about decoupling capacitors !!!! If You get more into that subject, use some formulas to calculate power consumption of PA, current changes of PA in period of time, etc. You will find that there exists no battery able to supply power to PA which emits signal !!!!!! Therefore, we have decoupling capacitors. In simple words, they accumulate power and give it out when is necessary. Remove them and You will get phone which turns off, block, resetting.... BR Vule |
