Lightbulb 3310 Mbus Error

Hello Friends,

I have received 2 pcs of 3310, and here are the problems they are showing

All of them were dead..

I tried to flash with ufs3 flash file 5.59 and I can flash mcu and ppm properly, but when it gets to updating faid, it does not turn on and the message says.. mbus error. I cannot perform any mbus command on the phone.

The second phone, I can only erase the flash, I cannot write, the message says write error and some address of memory. I reballed the Flash Ic, but problem remains...

My cable and software are good, as I can do mbus commands on other 3310 phones..

In some post by Mr. Willy, I read that Mbus has to be pulled high....Can anyone explain how I can check that? I do not have an oscilloscope.

Please...any help in this matter will be highly appreciated, as I want to have a better understanding of this problem.

Best Regards,

Raja3333

half solved!

Hello friends!

My problem is half solved...

I changed the flash ic, got it from another dead phone...
and the phone took a full flash and even mbus functions! I was and am able to switch on the phone, but it has contact service...

I tried another full flash... but still contact service..

I changed the cobba and reflashed, but still contact service.

Eeprom tools says cobba serial failed.

ONE MORE THING.....the flash IC which I got from the other phone....it had version 6.33 of software in it...so maybe it is not compatible with my phone?
maybe it needs a flash ic from a lower version phone?
please guide and advise.

ANYWAY===at least it switched on!!!!!!!
Regards

From what i have read since now, u had only bad flash ic or bad solder under flash ic. But now situation is differit now u have two problems:
1.flash ic
2.COBBA
Let me tell u why; first after u changed flash ic and flashing was succesfully but CS, u SHOULDN`T do anything to cobba, successfull flashing don`t mean that flash ic is ok.
Try to solder a new cobba because new ic`s come with ready made pin`s
Try same thing with flash ic, after this opperation reflash phone and should work, NO MATTER WHAT VERSSION u put inside,

I wish u luck, because u`ll needit,
BR, xyz
