3310 No Lcd Shown - GSM-Forum

Hi

I have 3310 lcd shows not anything,
sometimes when i power on it shows some dots in lcd......
i changed lcd , no result
also rehot Phone RAM , still no result

any solutionss?

Have the same on a 3330 it sitting in service center waiting to be done if I find out what was done will post.

Hi

you can try cleaning lcd pcb contacts , flashing s/w and checking contrast level.

If still doesnt work after changing lcd (with one that u know works)

You will need a service manual ( circuit diagram + component layout ) and some way of powering up pcb outside housing for voltage measurements :-

check VBB 2.8 VDC at C409/413.
check that voltage ay J314 is 2.8VDC (lcd reset) - if line short-circuited to ground will cause lcd not to work.
Also check that voltage at both sides of R306 is 2.8 VDC.

If all above values are ok, then you can bin it or use for spares , because MAD2 IC or PCB is probably faulty

some one read the manual, did upgrade and cleaned board and reheated as well
