6610 Network Signal Problem - GSM-Forum

Hello:

I'm having some network problems with my Nokia 6610.

When I insert the SIM card of my network provider in Canada (Rogers @ 1900 MHz), I do get the network signal and my provider's name is displayed on the screen. But sometimes, for no reason, the network signal is lost for many hours. When the signal is lost, even the screen saver doesn't work then and the battery just drains out in a few hours. Then it will come back all of a sudden and all will be normal. I have tried to put my SIM card in another "unlocked" phone and it works OK, so it's not a bad SIM card. And when I loose the network signal and try another SIM card in my phone, it doesn't recognize it either and I don't get any signal.

I have upgraded the firmware to the latest version 5.52 dated 19-09-03 but it still didn't resolve the network signal issue.

What should I look at?

Rewrite good pm, check helga/mjoilner IC also Power Amplifier
Reheat with some of good flux.
