Unhappy 3410 rebooting on its own

i have a 3410 that is rebooting on its own after you switch it on.what happens is it switches on good gets network perfectly but after some time it then sort of switches off and then on again.i tried flashing it and setting the faid but still the problem persisted.for interest sake i even tried changing the imei.on info it shows as if it has changed the imei but if you check again it would have returned to the old imei.does anyone know what the problem might be?
