5300 menu key not working - GSM-Forum

hi guys i have very strange problem i have 2 nokia 5300 when i tryed to turn on ask turn on phone withought simcard i press menu key to accept it wont work i replaced new flex cable i replaced new keypad ic but stil samecan anyone knows what to do 2 phone both are same problem

If u change the flex & also change Keypad IC then it is too hard to find this problem.
But in my view u can try working strip from working phone & see what is the result......?
If u r problem remain same then u need to check the CPU.

Post result.

And another faulty part is upper complete board.
Also change this board from working phone & tell me what is the result.

U got 100% success from both solution. One is the working for me.

remove the on /off buttons ...((botton off volume +/-))
