5800 blank screen - GSM-Forum

Hi iv fitted a new LCD screen to 5800 but it still remains blank.

I need hardware solution??

Phone was bought fault so history unknown.

Phone powers on with buttons lighting up etc but with no display.

Iv replaced the phones LCD and still no display on the phone.

Phone has been flashed with latest version but there is still no display on screen. Phone only powers on with no display.

Only LCD replacement and software update has been applied to the phone with no success.

So this is probably hardware problem? What hardware solution would be applied to a phone with this issue?

Ignore the above post this phone was not flashed with the latest version it was another 5800 that was flashed.

Anyway this phone that has a new LCD can not be flashed as i get the below problems.

This now looks like a hardware problem? If so what is the solution?

Remember the phone still powers on with a dark screen.

Looks like LCD IC is broken.

LCD IC is found just above where LCD ribbon is inserted.

I will try and repair and update.

just re hot or change the display ic it will be ok tested by me
