5800 memory card corrupt - problem & solution - GSM-Forum

well i have been using 5800 for quite few months now. it has v40.0.5. one of the problems i have been having is that after using it for a month or two (if i am lucky) the phone doesn't restart with memory card inserted. it is stuck on initial nokia screen. i figured the way round, in that i remove mem card during startup. permanent solution was to format the memory card & reinstall apps.

although this is working solution but formatting, re-installing and e.g. playing all games from beginning is a prob.

i would like to thank all those who'll contribute to figure out more reliable and less cumbersome solution to this problem

Mostly Every new nokia 3rd edition have some application error may be some bug fixup in new s.w

anybody who knows better solution or may be corrupt applications can be detected and deleted directly rather than re-formatting for just an application...
any guru out there... plz help us

Try chkdsk on the memory card, this works on alot of other phones like N97 mini

just delet the system folder in the memory card in will work .
