6111 white screen - GSM-Forum

phone was water damaged. after usual repair proceedure. now it display white screen when power on. already tried new lcd and ribbon flex cable. any suggestions welcome.

paste the legs of your board clips (i.e the board clip where the flex will key to) on both th screen board and the panel then heat wiyh your reworks station from the opposite sides of the panel, afterwards use the sharp tip of the soldering iron to press down each legs carefully then connect your flex and power on. it works for me

thanks for reply. i have checked all ribbon connector's legs. they seems fine. no losen legs. attatch pic with circled ic. looks like been damaged. any one know where can i find replacement? on it, it reads FE8 5 or S49. service manual will help. any one care to share?

I change IC, write last software,but nothing,lcd is white.

chang grass ic (5x5pin) i solved this broblum many time
u can use k300 keypad ic it will work 100%
..WBR...

imran zafar is right or u can use keypad IC from nokia too
tested with 6170 keypad IC

The reason for 6111 white display (with or without keypad sound) is
99% FLEX CABLE.
