6131 no keyboard - GSM-Forum

I have a problem with a Nokia 6131.

I damaged sligtly the filter at the end of the volume button tracks and now the phone's keyboard doesn't work all together.

Is the phone's keyboard malfunction due to that filter being damaged or is the problem elsewhere?

P.S. is there any similar filter to this one in any other Nokia phone?... maybe a filter from a 6630?

bro u can use keypad filter of 6630 , or may try this jumper please reply back problem solved or not

Thanks but it didn't solve the problem... I'm going to try and replace the volume filter with a 6630 one... I'll post results!

Ok... I removed the damaged volume button filter and the keyboard works again!...

Now I just have to find a way to get the volume button to work again!
