... but if i switch on the phone, it seems to work normal! the lights, earpiece tones etc work! the lcd is not broken or something! no physical failures... is it a softwareproblem, or is MAD corrupt?

COULD be the elastomer or the display driver chip

REMOVE LCD FROM PHONE AND LIFT HOOKS FROM SIDE,LIFT FRONT CROSS HOLDER AND TAKE LCD OUT,YOU WILL SEE A SMALL RUBBER CONTACT CALLED "ELASTAMOR" SIMPLY TAKE OUT AND TURN OVER.NO NEED TO PUT NEW ELASTAMOR. <br /> <img src="tongue.gif" border="0"> [img]null[/img] [img]null[/img] <img src="tongue.gif" border="0">
