This happened to my friends 6680. He immediately dried the phone off with a towel, and then with a hairdryer. Fone wasn't working so he put it on the heater for 2-3 hours to let any remaining water evaporate. Fone still wasn't working, but it started working the next day. It operated perfectly except the VGA camera didn't function. He foned up his network provider and demanded that they fix it (he just told them it stopped working - didn't tell them anything about water damage). They picked up his 6680 and have repaired it free of charge.

try to reheat first UEM or better clean the wet part.. reheat it properly... or remove first the lcd then boot check if it does boot. if not maybe you need to replace UEM

@ Mobiliuksas: first of all change N270 4349869 DC/DC CONV LM2708H-1.57V/1.35V Power Management IC, then try again.

no way!
there is no need to reheat the glued uem, you may damage soldering under it.
by the way, tell me, how can water damage the glued soldering?

@ Mobiliuksas: you'll find 6230 schematics at ************.ru
