Member: 236929 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 12 | 6600 LCD 6630/7610 Conversion I also have here two 6600 lcd's(working) Has anyone successfully managed to fit a 6600 lcd to a 6630 because there is only 5 or 6 mm distance between 6600 lcd connector reaching the 6630 socket from what i can see. Im thinking prehaps shift the whole lcd ribbon(& joining circuitry) over on the back of lcd(carefully). Or (more than likely) some delicate an tricky soldering to extend the connector. Anyone that has succesfully done this i would realy appreciate any input/diagrams or advice u could give us Thanks in advance |

Member: 96236 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7 | Hi, What you're saying is possible, but believe me its very risky and not worth it. Better get a working or new lcd and install. I already tried bridging a 20-line damaged on a 6600 lcd, it worked for 2 wks only. Hope u succeed though, good luck. Regards beega |
