Member: 17702 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | 6610 water damaged and Griffin I have a 6610 water damaged. Actually very slight quantity of water passed the camera connector on the bottom. Very slight corrosion appeared in the inside view on pins of the connector. The owner however didnt took the battery off. Phone initially was totally dead! Not even possible to flash it. I cleaned the PCB from the slight corrosion and I put it in ultrasonic cleaner for 2x10 mins. Then I dry it with nitrogen. Now the phone seems to be more responsive. It can be flashed with Griffin, by clicking "Manual Mode" but when we come to the afterflash processing it fails. Since the phone cannot switch on itself still. With the battery on, pressing the power ON button, the LCD comes on for about 1 sec then it shuts down itself. I am trying to load a new PM file to this phone but since Griffin cannot use autopower it cannot also do any other operation apart from flasing the MCU and PPM. In the old nokias we could flash a full repair file and then phone was alive again! Anyone knows what needs to be done here? B.R. |
