Member: 7653 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 823 | no, please do not bridge! or phone will be not work properly! if you bridge this component then phone will automatically power itself on when battery inserted best to leave it out. the operation is: current is flow from voltage source "pwron". if voltage there is small (nominal), R4460 resistor is high value. therefore voltage is apply at PWRONX pin of RETU (Via ESD filter). in this state, phone is OFF. when switch is depressed, current will take the easy path through it to ground. now PWRONX pin of RETU is LOW and phone will power on. R4460 (voltage dependant resistor) is used to protect ESD filter from large voltage spikes. so please, just leave that component out if yo cannot find a suitable replacement. |
