7210 very poor contrast, Please help!!!


7210 water demaged, I repaired the phone but now the display contarst is very poor.Hard to see texts. I changed CPU,UEM, LCD no result.LCD connector is OK 100%. I lived this problem many times on 7210,6610 and 6820. Isn't tehre any soft to increase Contrast manually like DCT3. I uploaded all software works like flash, PM full erase etc...

Plase help!

I checked these resistors of course, changed with good resisitors, the problem is same..There should be something else..

1) sw problem (write last sw and good PM)
2) lcd (try another type)
3) connector
4) resistors
5) UPP
6) lines
check one more time and replace if possible, it must solve the problem

All changed, from a phone which is working good, interesting the same poor contrast, hard to see.

i have same problem with 6610 very poor contrast.

well, did you check that "working good" phone has another type of lcd (there are at least 3 types of lcd - marked with green, red or blue colour)?

The reason is not LCD I am sure, I used tons of LCDs. And as I know 6610 and 7210 can use all types of LCDs.

conection is OK .
LCD is ok too.. (tried about 10 different lcd )
UEm ic new.
UPP is also changed.. still same.
flashes with latest fw..

did you check signals VI0 and VFLASH1?
VI0 (1st pin of lcd connector) must be 1,8V
VFLASH1 (6th pin of lcd connector) must be 2,8V

for my 7210 VIO=1.8v and VFLASH1=2.8 v I checked them first, but still very poor contrast. This is a very interesting problem. especially on water demaged phones. I saw many and could not fix. maybe under CPU there is some hole demaging.
