7610 buttons problem

the Select, back and down button doesnt work on my phone. they dont respond even if i press them hard and i've brought it to a shop where they have changed the keyboard for the keypad. it still didnt work and i went to a phone repair stall and they said flashing it could be the answer. would flashing fix it? what equipment/box/cable do i need to flash or is there any other way to fix it?
