Red face 8210 - nothing on display


Hi friends,
i have a big problem, i have one 8210 at home - it worked good, but yesterday it starts switching off(probably only bad contact).
...but now, when i try to switch it on, it switch on, but nothing shows on the display!
phone comunicate good with PC and seems to be allright.... but what about the blind display?

some news...
when i press on the metal plate over the display, and power on the phone, it works! but i must still press the metal...
...do you think that conductive gum is bad or what?
pleaz help!

hi,
i had your problem before.
check the connector of the screen.
take of the screen you can find a connector on the screen change it or turn it to the other side and then try your phone it will work i am sure,
did u get what i mean?

Also if the LCD elastomer is kind off oily or melted replace it with a new one. Some elastomers become like that from heat.

agree with zbomberman say, after you change the LCD connector if also can't get it alive you must change your LCD.

Try To invert lastic and to clean by spirit display ,psb and lastic!

Change the lastic, man. If is doing by yourself, it costs less than 1 USD

The best solution is 2 replace the original elastomer with the wirewound elastomer from 5110/6110

i solved it with changing conduction gum to 5110 type and it works!
