3310's almost dead but not completely SOS! - GSM-Forum

hi guys,

i have here 4x3310 with different faults...one was made by me

number 1.

cant switch on but when chagred connected battery bar flashing and not charging if you will try to power it on all LEds just flashing on you while you hold the button but nothing...without charger cant switch it on at all.seems like no water damage.

i tried to flash eeprom just to c what will happen but its starting to erase and coming up with error Low battery - this is with charger plugged in without charger...DEAD

number 2.

cant power it on but NU2000 says "Error wrong type or the phone"(or something)...where i clearly have 3310...cant switch it on or chrage...

number 3.

MY stupid mistake...phone was fine but freezing and rebooting itself afterwoods...i removed L511 thinking it will help...now i cant power it on...will try to solder it back later...but not sure what to do next if it will come back to normal state...

number 4.

had that phone for ages...no signal...everything else fine...

guys need help with these phones...who can help plz help!

and last question...where i can buy parts like PA's,CCONT's etc...coz i have a lot of other phones around like 6210's with no power etc...

equipment im using: HotAirStation850,Mbus/Fbus,thing which washes out those water damaged phones(dont know the name por it) and brains(if any)

no.1.
Looks like MAD problem. Or maybe CCONT? Try to change CCONT first, than replace MAD.

no.2.
Try to full flash it with image form good phone, after thar recalculate FAID.

no.3.
Removing L511 wont kill your phone. You have some other problem with this one.

no.4.
No signal at all, or you have signal for 3-5 secs when turn it on?

ok...number one still same condition...tomorrow will try to reflow it with flux...by the way...tried today and its so sticky...is that ok?or im using wrong one?

no2 i can try to flash it but i think rolis refused to flash it...ill try again now...but i dont know verion of original?what should i do?coz knock for example giving "Cannot start..."...so i dont know...

no3 put L511 back...no its switching on and lights stay and cant switch off...in 1 min approx...switching itself off...flashing fine...tried 100 times...but nothing on the screen...before i had problem that it was rebooting itself and freezing...badly!

no4. yes sometimes signal is there for first 5 secs...then gone...i think PA...will replace tomorrow...from number 2

well thats about it

Reflow CCONT with flux. Don't try to reflow MAD because it is glued to PCB. Removing MAD is very difficult, try to find some broken boards to practice.

First be sure that it is 3310 and not 3330.
Don't just write MCU+PPM. Take a good phone and read full flash with Rolis (2MB). Then write whole flash to your no.2. After that recalculate FAID and change IMEI to original one.

Strange problem. Try to change 26 MHz crystal

PA, 99% or antenna switch. Try to change PA first.

5
Go to sleep. It's late, do steps 1-4 tommorow in the morning

the only problem with going to bed...that i cant sleep well until ill get them sorted...not that i want money out of it...its that REEEEAAALLLLLYYYY want to get them fixed!!!just to piss everyone who didnt fix it and gave it to me and said..."go on...play with it...its dead anyway..."..i already fixed one out of 5!

Hi hulala.!

1. Try change CCONT, and reball or change cobba and after try the full flash.

2. I think just the same

3. I think It isn't the L511 fault....

4. Try a full flash and update faid!

im about to go to workshop and try all those things...

i removed L511 for the phone 3...

if you will twist it it comes on...all light working...but nothing on the screen and can switch off...when flashing...4lights of keypad comes on and stays until flashing is finished...thenn dead again...have no idea whats dat...

number 4

will try to change PA today from number 2

by the way...where can i buy parts for nokias?and JIG for example?

it is like resoldering.
You remove BGA IC, clean it, clean the board, make new solder balls and resolder it to place.
