8910 always on "Headset" profile, please help!

I got a strange 8910 from a customer that was really damaged, somehow he managed to damage the simcard contacts so i fixed them, but when I entered the pincode it starts up normaly but goes directly to headset profile, i checked the flexcable and 3 of the wires was broken, so I changed the flexcable but it didn't help :-(
I got the flexcable without any components on, and im not 100% sure that all the capasitors/resistors is sitting in the same direction as before, but does this matter?
I've also reflow/reheated all the chips on the board but nothing helped, any ideas?
what can cause the phone to think that a headset is connected all the time?
And is the anything i can do to disabled the headset somehow? bridge some point or remove some components?
- the customer says he don't need to have the headset possiblity cause he uses bluetooth headsets.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi,
Till the Audio (part) is on the UEM,so i think that you must change it (Uem) and it must work.

Im pretty sure that it's not the UEM chip, does anyone know how the phone detects the headset on a 8910? wich pins gets shorted on the flexcable when the headset is plugged in?

I still think that my problem is related to the flexcable, but i need some info on the lines on it, cause maybe some of them is shoted or broken :-( but nothing to see directly on the flex...

@subten...

The UEM detectes the presence of the headset plug by a small leaf Sw inside the socket when the jack plugs-In , that Sw is allways ON .
The pathway of that detector comes from the UEM to be allways toutching one of the Xearphone's tracks , the components on the socket area are not acting in this operation . All are on the main board , So U need to check the pathway all and the Sw inside the socket , then on board check also R155 ,and R165 (dual 22ohm).

GoodLuck

no no no its the flatcable, try an other one or buy a compled cable, soldering a flatcable is very difficult 100% for sure if you use an other flatcable the problem is gone

@gsm_style....

If U read carefully , I told him to ( check the path ..All ) that includes the flexcable too. From the UEM to it again ( Headset detector pin to the socket and back ).

The man sayes that he changes the flexcable and he founds three brocken tracks !!! .

His question was , what makes the phone thinks that the headset is pluged.!!!

Have a nice time M8
