If I have understood you correctly (your display flickers), your contrast could well be too high!!
Try decreasing contrast first. Otherwise it is most probably the MAD, or the LCD-MAD connection. Try measuring and comparing Voltage outputs of each pcb-lcd connector's pin of a working phone, and of yours.

maybe trying to compare
it with a good phone is
