any way to check "display ic" working or not in 6600 using multimeter?

hi,

i have not experience in hardware servicing.mainly doing software problems.

in software service no headaches-but in hardware without experience lead to headache-i mean can not return to customer in the condition before buy to repair.so i did not do hardware.

any hardware experts help me to avoid trial and error method.(because i think trial and error method in hardware service lead to complicate problems)

i have a 6600 display problem(incoming/outgoing ok).check with another display-still no scope-solder display contacts in motherboard-checked display voltages VIO=1.8V,VFLASH1=2.8V to display connector-its ok-still no display.

now the remaining components to check is display ic z140,v140 and upp.

my doubt is any way to check DISPLAY IC working or not using multimeter?

thank u

put new lcd ic on double tape and check as said in display above with multimeter resistance must be about 200 ohms, because i always check old ic to check is it ok or not. put your multimeter in buzzer probe.
