Member: 1752046 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Lumia Phone Test Application This phone was included in the W10 update schedule, which I did when prompted. I quickly found the 4 microphones that were fully working in W8.1 were now not working in W10, and that this is a known fault at Microsoft. I therefore rolled the phone back to W8.1, expecting that would solve the issue, but it has not, all microphones are still not working. In July 2016, Microsoft removed their link for "Lumia Phone Test Application" which tests the hardware for Lumia devices and identifies which of the 4 microphones are faulty. Although I have found the application software elsewhere, when installing it tries to contact Microsoft to download additional package files, and because they have removed it, the install fails. Does anyone know of a work around for this problem? Or a suggestion as to how upgrading to W10 could break all 4 Mics, and they still not be working when rolled back to W8.1 The phone is no longer under warranty, so can't get them to repair it. |
