Bridging Resistors

After installing Blue LEDS, is there any risk when bridging the resistors to make it brighter? like will it **** up the power supply? Also will it consume more power, making shorter standby times?

I installed bright blue LEDs in my 6210 today. I also bridged the two resistors, and there was no problem.

The LEDs were nice before bridging, but are now looking great...

The Blue LEDs themselves are 4v LEDs. The original ones you take out are only 3.3v. Bridging the LEDs increases the power to the LEDs thus making them brighter....

yeh.. i understand that.. i've bridged the resistors on my 8210, but didnt get any increase in brightness, i know that all connections are correct.

I think that it's not any brighter because the leds i bought were rated at 3.6V, i used the aligent blues that i ordered from farnell.com. for the keypad it's pretty bright, but for the screen it's very dull... I think i might just get another 6 superbright ones for the screen.

Yeah - it's quite annoying cos when you've got your phone in bits, and you hold the battery in place, the LEDs look really bright - but as soon as all the parts go back in place, they look dull.

I would certainly recommend the super bright blue's...
