Red face Changed glued IC.


Hi, guys anybody know the process flow about changing glued UEM or some glued IC. I have no experiences so If anybody know please let me know. Thank you.

sir,

1. you need tools to do that..BGA rework station, tweezers, flux, solder assist, soldering gun, soldering wick, cutter and new UEM.

2. clamp the board, so when you pop up the UEM the board will not move.

3. heat the UEM (only), so the other parts will not damage. until the balls is melted. ( i think, you know if it is melted)

4. pop or lift it up the UEM with tip of your cutter. (your cutter must be sharp and tiped.)

5. after you pop it or lift it up. take it with tweezer...

6. you will see the lift over of glue and lead. (First) clean the lead using solding gun and soldering wick and then try to clean the glue by using you your solder assist or your cutter by applying a small amount of heat. ( becare full of the pattern not to lift)

7. clean it, and replace the UEM. ( i forgot, you need a software to fix the IMEI on your UEM. UFSx, Griffin or anything that can fix the IMEI)

Thank you for your opinion. I exchanged maybe 2 hundred not glued UEM but I never try to change glued so I don’t want to risk.

WHAT TEMP.TO BE SET ON THE HOT AIR GUN ?
IS THE INFRA-RED PRE-HEATER USED FOR THIS ?
WHAT ABOUT THE GLUE ? ANY MELTING/BREAKING/DISSOLVING SOLUTION TO BE APPLIED ON THE GLUE ? OR THE GLUE WILL ALSO MELT WITH THE SOLDER ?

CAN YOU PLEASE NAME THE HIGH TEMP.PAINT AND THE RESIN OR THE HARDNER USED WITH IT TO COVER UP THE BROKEN MASK ?
