Member: 61249 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Connections Under IC I am mobile technician, i have replaced one UEM Ic in 6610 but still it is not power On. So any body can help me to know, how to make sure the micro BGaA balls connectiuons under UEM Ic are OK. I need same technics for UPP, Flash, SRAM ICs Best Regards Jem |

Member: 44658 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Are you sure that if you change the UEM, it WILL fix the fault? Have you tried flashing the phone? What program you using... Have you probed the phone at all.... Best bet to check if UEM is down, is to heat it up, with heat gun (hakko) and with a microscope, look under at the UEM, and you'll see it move slightly, (that indicates that the solder balls under the UEM, have made a connection and solder is flowing) thanks |

Member: 61249 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hello Sir, Thanx for ur reply. I replaced the UEM using BGA Rework machine. Before change IC i tried flashing using Pheonix. It shown NAK Aknowledge fail. As per the service manual i found it is because of UEM. I replaced UEM, now it shows 'TXD Line high". So can u please help me to know how to check continuuity for UEM by Multimeter. Best Regards Jem |

Member: 44658 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hi I use these guidelines for phoenix program, flash fails: TXD Line High - change UEM TXD Line Low - change UPP Ms ID Failure - change flash prom MAD NAK Aknowledgement failure - change UPP Beings you've changed the UEM already using the BGA rework machine, and to your visible eye, the UEM change was all ok. Best bet is to go for the UPP.... |
