Dead 8310 (UEM advice required) - GSM-Forum

Got a 8310 that is dead. Battery power is healthy but I suspect the UEM IC is dead. Anybody have any new or good tips for checking whether the UEM IC on the motherboard is working ok. For example any tips using say a volt meter to measure or take readings around the board that will tell me if the UEM is good or the UEM is dead.

I have fitted a new UEM but I suspect the batch could be bad or faulty. I have heard that there are many UEM IC's being sold that are dead from new.

Yes you could. Just probe the UI connector X301 with a voltmeter and test for 1.8v in some of the contacts. If you have no readings then you have faulty UEM.

Hiya

You have 2 possibilities....

1. Use fps8 and winphoenix, go to imei rebuild and make .ask file. Manage somehow to get someone to calculate .rpl file for you, write it with winphoenix and phone is repaired...

2. Use some IMEI rebuild software... Trisha or matrix or whatever...

I have but protected by dongle. You need to buy one, it cheaps in China Market now.

lot of UEM ics availuble .but only orginal one can rebuild IMEI.
