Member: 97113 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | dku-2/ dku-5 differences? While I'm here... Is there a version of DataSuite that'll work with the 6230i *and* run on w98se? I think I tried v5 or 5.8 a while back for the 6610i and it worked, but seemed buggy and slowed the pc a bit. and finally Where would one find a copy of the "classic phone" driver that windows wants if I connect the phone via IRDA? |

Member: 7653 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 823 | dku5 cable contains electronics circuitary, in main: the USB to serial convertor. the newer phones like 6230 have this convertor built into their hardware, therefore the dku2 cable is simply wires connecting the USB port to the pop port. best upgrade to win xp mate although i did have data suite and nokia 6230 working in 98 some year ago, but like you say, it is buggy and slow |

Member: 97113 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Gotcha. Hmm, too sensible that they'd only have one version of pop-port eh? I sortof reckoned that was going to be the answer on the software front. There would be no issues using a bluetooth connection tho, right? Thanks! |

Member: 7653 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 823 | well the difference in pop ports is because better technology available when design/making the newer phones i am not sure about bluetooth, i had windows 98 (first addition) and it did not support bluetooth. there was many drivers missing from the install maybe SE is better, you will have to try |
