Member: 7301 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I'm not an expert of NOKIA phones, but I know that the most common cause of signal dropping and distorced audio are broken balls undr BGA COBBA IC . It's true expecially on NOKIA 3210... for other phones like 8210 and 3310/30 the cause could also be the HAGAR IC, or the TX/RX switch near the PA. If someone knows more is welcome.... |

For more phones it is important to check soldering under RF ICs, DSP and power supply ICs. For Nokia this is HAGAR (SUMMA for olders), COBBA and CCONT. Be ware of overheating. You will get best results after desolder ICs, make new balls under ICs and resolder back to PCB. For good solderings, use Philips soldering paste. For cleaning under ICs, use methyl alchochol (poyson!!!) and for cleaning pads on PCB use orthophosphorus acid. Clean with destilated water and dry with hair dryer for at least 30 minutes. To all I wish good luck! Assen |
