"Fighting fire with fire"

This might sound crazy guys, but it works for me!!!!!

liquid damaged phones that develope a high content of corrossion and is dead,i ussually wash the PCB board using dish washer and hot water and hard brisstled tooth brush. The PCB ussaually comes out Shining and makes it easier to fault find damaged tracks!
After washing, air dry it for two hours and then use hot air station.

Remember im not recommending this but i win 7 out of ten times so if you dig like i dig into hardware repair....TRY IT!!!!

Best Regards.

Yeah!! and then try to locate the missing parts, or replace all oscillators, PA and antenna switch because you have destroyed them.

Hi,

I´m using same method(ex. I´m doing it with liquid soap) for 4 years now w/o any pb...
All I can say is that I have 40% better results as with ultrasonic cleaner!
And I´m not missing any parts...

Are the phones working for a long time after this?
Cleaning has many different stages it doesn't only use the ultrasonic.

same here....most especially when the board has lots of flux after exhaustive repair...
first i brush it with lacquer thinner...then using soft bristle brush i thoroughly brush the board with soap over a running water...

yes, the board comes out sparklingly clean...

just make sure to dry the board completely...using the hot air station before powering it on...

just a matter of practice...
