Question help with 7650

i've wandered through many threads in the search results but haven't got a clue on how to solve this so if you could please help i'd be ever so grateful!

my 7650 memory is full and the phone won't turn on... the 'nokia' logo appears for a long time and then it won't ask for the pin code, a message saying 'memory full' just appears in the screen until i press ok, and then it all returns to the 'nokia' logo...
my question is: is there anything i can do? and is there any way i can keep whatever was in the memory (contacts, imgs, msgs)? ...

if possible, explain it r-e-a-l-l-y s-i-m-p-l-y (since i'm a bit of a rookie on the matter)...

thank you thank you thank you
