Unhappy help - 8310 problems...

Hi guys,

Just found this forum, and it looks like a very useful place - hopefully someone can help me with my nokia 8310 problems...?

Last night my 8310 turned itself off, and now it won't power up at all - and plugging the charger in doesn't show any sign of it charging...

I've tested the battery and sim card - both work fine in another 8310... so the fault is with my phone

I guess this is probably a hardware problem??? anyone experienced this before? are there any obvious connectors/tracks i could test on the circuit board to isolate this problem - is a circuit diagram available?

Or could this be a software problem? - is there anyway to do a 'full-reset' of the phone ie. clearing all memory etc. when turning on (by holding down keys on pad/etc.)?

Cheers!

Steve

Thanks for the suggestions guys - tested the fuse shown above, it's fine, but the phone isn't

I think it is probably a software problem anyway - I remember just before it stopped working, I was getting strange errors when I scrolled through the phone-book, or searched for a name - the phone kept going back to main menu, or going blank for a couple of seconds...???

>take the phone to a qualified professional and let him fix it for u ;-)

lol - don't think this would be worth it - they will probably charge more than it's worth to repair it....But I suppose it would cost me a few $ to get the flash cables/software to do this myself...

Just hoped this might be a common problem with an easy solution.

Cheers,

Steve

Now adays many people want to save money and try to repair the phone and in the end doing more trouble to themselves. So please don't anyhow repair if you are not a qualify technician.
no offend to anyone out there.
