How to make data cables ?? - GSM-Forum

Hi freinds I am new ! what I realy wanted to know was how to make data cables . Suppose com-port has 9pins which pin is tx which is rx which is mbus which is vbatt and etc. I need it very urgent, I have many schematic diagrams of data cables but due to incorrect knowledge I cant make it, main problem is Com port coz out of 9 pins which one is which I dont know Please help me freinds, and If administ. Read this please post a reply . Thank u all !

Most cables use the same basic IC and same wiring. The picture is using siemens but you can use the same cable for other phone types. http://people.itu.int/~emartine/all_sie_ca_po.GIF

@amitks in,

Get the pin config of the com port. Be careful to get the correct sequence else u may damage either ur com port or ur phone. Its quite cheap to buy cables nowadays. BUt if u r doing it to learn, good luck. Just search on the net for data cable schematics.
