Member: 31515 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | How to replace LCD on 3390? I bought a relacement and I have the phone totally open (used a Torx 6 and everything!) so the cracked glass in its thin metal housing is clearly visible. Still, for these final steps of removing and replacing the LCD, I could sure use some advice of the detailed (or images) type! Can anyone refer me to a site, link, NG etc where this little operation is revealed? THanks! |

Member: 31515 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Thanks, syed, the next time my kid breaks his phone, I'll know better. In the meantime, any practical advice would be gratefully received! Perhaps -with a bit of information, I just may just be able to perform this repair- despite my foolishness and ignorance. Please give me a try! Last edited by Maggot; 06-16-2003 at 05:35. |

Member: 31515 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Still waiting for a kind soul to offer constructive advice on installing a LCD screen into a Nokia 3390. I've learned that a "complete LCD panel" would have been an easier job if I'd bought that. But that doesn't even tell me if the the replacement I hope to perform is *so* difficult that I'd be better off if I didn't even try to do it! Ought I just change my plans... seek out & purchase "the complete panel" and start from there instead? Thanks, Maggs |
