N-GAGE "Device start-up failed. Contact the retailer"


Hi all,
"Device start-up failed. Contact the retailer", I was fullerase flash, MCU+PPM, write PM, unlock, format user area 10 times but not luck, any body know how to fix it? it is hardware problem, but I don't know what IC have been damaged.

if this kind of problem happens, plug in the charger, when the phone is charging,turn it on.( this is charger start up )

once its turned on, install this file ( fixss ) to the phone's memory ( not mmc ).

restart the phone

problem solved.

its not hardware problem ,its a firmware bug.

tell me how it goes

yes i do like your idea but the problem in I can't install anything on device, phone can't start-up or start up failed, when I press power buttom, loading and white screen and restart, I can't install anything........., any more idea?

in that case only ADSP flashing is the best solution....using JAF which is most tested for me...compare to griffin and prodigy...

the charger start up didnt work? well , i can only help so far, just install the fixss file when you're able to boot up your phone

the problem is I can't install anything on it, phone can't boot, phone is " start-up failed, contact the retailer" with or without plug in charger, if my phone can be install something, it means there is no problem with my phone.

did the phone falldown b4 or water damage(even drops of water)? remove and change the cpu then flash it again. i solved this one time,even everything is good;flashing,write adsp,upload pm file it still appear c.s... hope it will help you

cpu faulty not make that message if this problem is hardware the user area falsh ic is damaged and the way we check this is manual formate if the set not complete manaul formate so most of time as i said
