N3310 display problem

Hello to all.

I have following problem.
I have several displays on N3310:
When i power on the phone everything is OK>
I can enter all "main" menus!
When I enter Inbox and want to read messages there is nothing on display, just light up.
i can power off the phone.
When i power on it again display is working but not in SMS /Inbox menu !!
where can be the problem
When i change the other display , i can enter every menu in phone. i've tried also other versions of flash but the fault remains.

btw , I have also one display with low contrast. Where can i find any progy for it?
Not WINTESLA ) i don't like to install it .

probably only a wintesla equipt/prommer could solve ur problem. upgrading s/w version using other equipt is of no avail to that kind of prob... better visit authorized nokia serv cntr near ur area... goodluck!

Hello Bert and others ..

I try to clean LCD connector, and display with LOW contrast has VERY HIGH contrast. After reseting with NokiaTool using all SFS is contrast LOW again. (my display with LOW contrast has another LCD conector as the others).
I'm gonna try to clean all rest displays properly and i'll let u know what's happen.

Have a nice day.

Pali

Hi people!

All is very simple. Just replace LCD. Display must be without two capacitors.

Regards.
Sonia.

Hello Sonya

Could you be more specific with these capacitors?
I will replace them but ... to replace for what? What type of another one (working ).

Hi, Pali.

I & Sonya repaired more than 40 Nokias 3310, 8210. We try to solve this problem with many different ways and find good one - replaceing displays. Displays must be without capacitors on glass (factory made). Reset, wintesla, reflash, change PPM and MCU not help You - dissapearing appears later. If You can't buy these type of displays in Your country, I can try to help You. If You take display from other Nokia, it's not help You too.

I think, what dissapearing is a factory defect (new type of plate and old type of display).

PS: I don't try to remove capacitors from original display, but may be.......
