N70 won't turn on?

Hello,

I saved a N70 which was being thrown out by a friend. He didn't tell me what was wrong with it. So I tested it and decided I'll try to fix it in some of my spare time.

Unfortunately I couldn't find a solution and have come here hoping someone could give me some pointers.

The phone won't turn on, I tested the battery in my Nokia 6680 and it shows full power and I was able to fully charge it. I swapped the battery and the phone still wouldn't turn on.

When I plug the charger in, the phone will light up it makes a little beep but nothing will come up on the screen. I press the button but nothing happens.

I suspect the screen is working but not sure.
I've opened it completely up and checked but I cannot find any problems.
I put it back together and experience the same problem.

Anyone know what could be causing this problem?
Could it be bricked? could the screen not be working? or could it be a fault on the main-board or something? do you think it's worth repairing?
