N82 dead after supplying it with 9v


i have one n82 not stable in local mode, so i tried to add power supply, i took one battery 9v and put it in the external hook of the Fbus cable, now the phone can boot normally with jaf, but when i try to insert charger it give me just one light and can't power on .
any suggestion?

try to check shorting in phone if exists then see in Nokia Hardware Forum you will see one thread how to remove shorting in BB5 Phones and do as they say ( if exist for N82 ) ... Hope its help you

1st check shorting gone after remove betty or no .... did you reball or no ?? after change did you check shorting or no

you need to change the betty and if you already done it , and still shorting then after you reball and put back there is a problem in reballing or back fixing on board

hello,

yes same betty ic , for old phones there is thavo ic dont mix between 2 ic
try to change betty with new one , i solved many phones with this problem.
